Dr. Malizia’s Bio:
Dr. Carol Ann Malizia was born and raised at the United States
Military Academy at West Point located in the Hudson Valley, New
York. She received her primary education in Pre-Med with a
specialization in Sports Injuries from the College of Mount Saint
Vincent and Manhattan College. Her residence program was fulfilled
at the Sports Medicine Clinic in the Hospital for Special Surgery
in Manhattan under the direction of Chief Orthopaedic, Dr. Russ
Warren. Subsequently in 1989 she completed her Doctorate in
Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College and furthered her
specialization becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports
Practitioner. She has also qualified for her Diplomate to the
American Chiropractic Board on Sports Injuries and Physical
Fitness, is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National
Academy of Sports Medicine, NASM, and an Army OneSource Certified
Practitioner.
Dr. Malizia had maintained one of the most progressive Chiropractic
practices in the country for nearly 25 years, Hudson Valley
WholeLife Center, featured in the national publication Chiropractic
Economics. The office, since the late 90’s, considered a model for
full spectrum integrative services, in addition to Chiropractic
Care, Nutritional Counseling with Wholefood Nutrition,
Detoxification programs, Erchonia Cold Laser, Massage Therapy,
Acupuncture, Functional Rehabilitation and a Holistic Esthetician.
Now as a thought leader, Holistic Healthcare Consultant to
professionals and organizations seeking an integrated model of
healthcare delivery, her vision is to contribute to the emerging,
collaborative, quality of life healthcare delivery system with the
foundational principles of Chiropractic and Wholefood
solutions.
A passion for public speaking for nearly 20 years, Dr Malizia has
immersed herself in the study of human potential, the science of
the Salutogenic model and its relationship to health, stress and
coping. In addition to being a featured lecturer to the Medical
Staff at Keller Army Hospital at West Point early in her
career, numerous Veteran Conferences, Dr. Malizia is an
international expert, author and panelist, delivering
numerous keynotes/ interviews per year for many Chiropractic
Colleges, Standard Process, Parker Seminars, Chiropractic
Leadership Alliance, Breakthrough Coaching, Womens Conferences,
Booz Allen and Hamilton, Leadership Dutchess, AcademyWomen, Grace
After Fire, Washington State Dept Veteran Affairs, the National
Foundation of Women Legislators, State Chiropractic organizations,
and many more. As a dedicated and committed member of the
Chiropractic profession, she was awarded Chiropractor of the Year
in 1996 by the Master’s, in 2005 Women Chiropractor of the Year by
the World Congress of Women Chiropractors, in 2008, One Voice for
Chiropractic, Chiropractor of the Year from Parker Chiropractic
College, and in 2012, Parker Chiropractor of the Year, was awarded
to Dr. Malizia for her international contributions to Chiropractic
in Japan, Australia, Italy, Canada.
Passionate about re-shaping global perceptions of health and wellness as we evolve through the stages of life, in particular Veterans, Dr Malizia is a Consultant for Special Projects to Standard Process and a spokesperson/advocate for Wholefood solutions. Her appearance on FoxNews new show, “A Healthier You and Carol Alt,” puts the impact of Wholefoods to the front of the conversation in natural solutions. Dr Malizia is pursuing her passion for life long learning, as a current candidate Masters in Applied Clinical Nutrition.
Additionally she has served as a Board Member for the The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress since 2005, with the opportunity to impact the public on behalf of the profession, for the purpose of positive press for Chiropractic nationally.
